Mangyan Project

I have been to Mindoro both Occidentan and Oriental, they have this nice and wonderful Indigenous people called the Mangyans,  they are like the Aborigins of Australia but very nice and some are already educated and adapted to the modern living but still their love for ethnicity and origin  remains. I love this people, very warm and nice. I used to do medical missions and volunteer work way back in post-college days through my friends from both Oriental and occidental.

One of that friend is Mrs. Bhebot Gatdula-Rummel, who was so inspired these days to really help and rebuild the lifes of Mangyan Kababayans in her hometown of Santa Cruz, Or. Mindoro. She talked about the Sapoo, a place where Mangyan leaders meet and convene, it was burned down for reason she won't tell. But her desire now is to rebuild that place by putting a foundation.

Pictures showed Mrs. Bhebot Rummel with a Nun and Local official who oversee the Mangyans

Congratulations in advance Bhebot and wishing you the best of luck in building and improving the life of your Kababayan Mangyans and truly preserve their Indigenous traditions and culture. May God be with you in this endevour.
